Y!A isn't as popular as sites like twitter & FB. why is that? people enjoy chatting more than asking questions? what is the psychology behind this?

Twitter and FB are just different to YA , that is all. I use all three of them.

Twitter and FB are quick and easy, and you can share your thoughts / pictures with your friends and family - its good to keep in touch with people. You actually know them all ! This weekend there was a huge storm where my son was - I was able to contact him on Facebook, find out that he was OK, and even see some pictures of his very wet house.

YA is a totally different thing - here we communicate with total strangers and we are not sharing anything except our thoughts on different topics. You are never going to be friends with YA contacts - we are all just anonymous voices.

The only psychological reason why people use FB and Twitter more, is that they are communicating with their loved ones. YA is not personal at all - just opinions being shared with strangers.

One can have too many *friends*. They take up time and the older one gets the quicker time passes. What took one hour can take even three.
This way people can help people. And get help.

Soon we may not need so much school eduction. How about that. As is teachers don't know what to teach anyway.

Because some people like to chat, gossip or communicate with each other, especially about themselves. Y!A is meant to be to ask and/or answer questions.
