Is Facebook having an effect on the Woman's Rights Movement?
Since Facebook is making everything non-anonymous and showing photos of the person commenting, it seems to be replacing the anonymous boards and responses to articles where a person could take gender-free hobby-focused pseudonames.

Before Facebook became famous (2008), I remember people could comment on articles, forums, chat-rooms, ect. and not know what the person looked like, what gender they were, their weight, their race, their geographic location, or anything about them except for their words and ideas. Everyone was, essentially, equal because no one knew details about the other person. One learned to respect differences. However, now this anonymity and gift is being overturned.

Do you think this is positively or negatively affecting the Woman's Rights Movement? Was the anonymity on the internet beneficial to producing more understanding of others?
