can my daughter keep me away from all her facebook activity except for private messages ?
Im divorced and my 14 year old daughter has blocked me on Facebook. My relation with her is very good, but shes started this useless kind of chatter on FB which she does not want me to see, so she has blocked me. Not a good situation, but the house is broken, and I am not in control anymore. My wife is monitoring her, so at least some check is there. .

The point is that i have to be able to message her without resorting to sms. So is there any way i can just have the message option open between her and me, and stay blocked from every other activity of hers.

Once you're blocked from someone's Facebook, they won't show up on your facebook anymore when you try to search them up, if you try to go to their profile, it won't show it anymore, just say that the profile doesn't exist anymore or something around those lines. Only way I see you communicating with that person is to call them and tell them to unblock you through SMS, phone call, in person, etc. Good luck on your relationship with your daughter though.

If she's open to talking to you, ask her if you could make a second private account to contact her through. You don't have to be friends. She just has to have her options for who can message her set to Public.

I believe there's an exception to no messages if you're part of the same group. So you could create a group where you're both the only members and you can post there and she should be able to read it.
