Logic says that the signs are ruled by the planet(s) that the signs are ruled by and that would mean the entire sign. However I do note in traditional astrology they had a specific degree of exaltation in the planets exalted sign where it was most powerful of all possible in any sign or degree. I am trying to stay with what traditional astrologers believed here. My sun is at 17 degrees Scorpio trine my moon exact at 17 degrees Cancer it is said my Scorpio sun has Pisces influence and Cancer moon has Scorpio influence (in detriment in this sign) While I cannot say if it affects me that way or not as Pisces is intercepted in my first house according to traditional astrology that would mean it influences me and its planets Neptune (in fall first Decan Capricorn) and Jupiter (Domicile 3rd Decan Aries) are co-rulers in my chart. So maybe not maybe so. My ascendant Aquarius is in third decan maybe that is why I attract Libras so much other than that I don't act Libraish. My Saturn and Uranus are supposedly influienced by leo as they are third decan (both in detriment in this sign) My pluto is in Piscean decan. My Mars in 3rd Decan Libra is Mercury ruled (pulled out of Detriment I presume) and Mercury as well ruled by Mercury (domicile third decan Libra)
So do I have a lot of Detriment planets in my chart due to the decans.
