What did ancient Chinese architecture have to do with these?
What did Chinese architecture have to do with geography, religion, achievements, and (optional)social structure, politics, and economy? I'm supposed to write a paper about it, and it's due in 1 week. I've just been stuck on it.
If you don't really know what I'm trying to say, I'm sorry. It's pretty confusing. I'll try to explain it the best I can.

It's like this:
-Religion in China influenced their buildings because.......?
-How is the geography related to architecture?
And so on.

This is my rubric. It might help you understand better.
How does the specific type of art reflect and document a society's geography, values, ideas, government, economics, social structure, and/or historical events?

In other words, how does the art form (that you picked) tell us about the society from which it came? In terms of geography, religion/belief systems, achievements, politics/government,economics, social structures (G.R.A.P.E.S)

I apologize if it feels like I want someone else to do my homework for me. This project is worth 75 points (Which could drop my grade lower than 2 letters) and I'm really stressed out about it. I could use all the help I can get.

Thanks so much.

It is really a big question. I am from China with BA.Maybe I can help you a little. But promise me that you will be my facebook friend(I like this website) : )

You know in the south China, it rains a lot. So their roofs tend to be V shapes. So that water can fall down along it. However, in the north, the roof is just flat. However, nowadays, the differences are not that clear, cause tall buildings have replaced both styles.

Religion? You can write about Taoist temple, Budda temple, as well as Lamasery buildings. Sorry that few Chinese people now have a religion. So sad.

Achievement. In Ming and Qing dynasty, when people get rich, they would spent huge money on houses. This can also be linked with geography. You can compare the old houses in Guangdong , Jiangsu,Anhui,Shanxi provinces. They have different main points.

I have thought about the paper again. Because in the past, only a few houses can be referred to as "architecture". So you can focus on the remaining relics, such as some old temples, city walls, palaces and so on. If there are not enough, please write to me via facebook~~

Here is my facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kyle.buytaobao
