Do you think the GOP focuses on punitive policies or solutions?
I think the GOP has a marketing problem.

Conservative policies could work - at least some of them - but many GOP politicians appear insensitive to the needs of minorities and women. Currently we have GOP politicians talk about cutting all social spending, or arguing that employer-sponsored health plans shouldn't provide birth control.

These statements are offensive to large blocs of voters.

The GOP is focusing on punitive policies instead of promoting solutions.

You're right that it's marketing.

The Dems focus on the Emotional argument.
The GOP focuses on the Logical argument.

Emotion gets people to the polls.
