How to get more buzz w/ music?

I live in a small town in OH. There's no Hip-Hop scene, & there's less than a handful that are actually making Hip-Hop, me being the only one that frequently makes tracks. Barely anyone listens to my music besides the few friends I ask to occasionally check it out if they get the time, & the bare minimum of people on twitter that actually click on my links. I have a Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, basically everything but Facebook, but can't seem to get a decent buzz going to have motivation to actually try besides my own will.

Basically I want people to actually listen to me enough to feel like I should continue what I'm doing. Any ideas on what I should do to further promote myself independently? I'm out of ideas & have been trying for months
