Xbox "Always On" question?
For the people with ISP (Internet Service Provider) who does uses caps, will the new XBox Always On feature affect those people internet?.
@Alan has not but I believe it was the Microsoft CEO who pretty much flip off XBox fans for their "constant annoying complain" about the Always On features, that's enough for me to know that XBox is going to use it.

Always on has not been confirmed.

It wasn't the CEO it was just an employee who was then fired after making that comment and he didn't directly say the new Xbox would have always on, just that people need to start dealing with that now. I still think it's up in the air.

No one knows for sure if there will be a always on feature but I've heard mixed opinions about if it will or not

Microsoft has not officially confirmed that their new Xbox will have an "always on" requirement or not.

Considering that only 75% of current console gamers (across ALL consoles) ever take their console online at all, I HIGHLY doubt that Microsoft is willing to immediately throw away 25% of their potential market with this requirement.

The guy at Microsoft that made the announcement was not the CEO, but was their Creative Director. He has since resigned (read: been fired) for his stupid and insulting comments via twitter.

Anyways, if your ISP uses quotas or a cap, that applies to *all* internet traffic including that from this Xbox if indeed it needs to be online all the time.
