@Temple its called the 2nd amendment...did you not read the question/description?

if you expect the cops to protect you, then call the cops when you are being brutally raped...15 mintues later when the cops find your brutally raped body...they might find DNA to catch the killer...

No, but I don't want to be blown up by lunatics either. Let us find a pleasant balance.

Edit: The Second amendment does not address terrorism or how to deal with every lunatic who decides to blow himself up in a public area. A balance is finding a way to protect ourselves better and to do this without giving up any of our freedoms. Understand?

I do think its dangerous to disarm law abiding citizens who chose to keep weapons for protection, sport, or food.

This really isn't going to stop whackos from doing their crazy sh*t just prevent citizens from liberty & option to protect themselves, use for sport, etc...

In the area I live many people hunt their food & freeze it. And many have person use guns for target practice.

Many things constitute as a deadly weapon where is the line on banning.

However that said I do think that proper screening should be done to obtain a license.

preaching to the choir.

i was willing to give a skyscraper a year rather than support the patriot act.

freedom or (perceived) safety, pick ONE.

do you think this attitude we share is gender biased ?

Heck, the fed govt cant even afford to buy more billion dollar warplanes, how are they going to afford to break into every home in America, have time to search it well, and deal with the homeowner's resistance, too??????

You are fearing a basically incompetent organization... the federal govt. Relax, but dont shoot your neighbor.
