Why do we atheists have a disproportionately large presence on the internet?

In many cases atheists in real life are afraid of being victimized by intolerant bosses, ostracized by family, persecuted in small towns, etc. Intolerance is a powerful tool for keeping classes of people quiet. I think this is going to change. Atheist Rights will be one of the last big Civil Rights battles to be fought in the U.S.

Because atheists know a soft target when they see one.
Of course, the real atheists don't go where you go because it's a logical absurdity to argue with theists about something they are convinced does not exist. What a waste of time and space that is! However, you first would have to prove your claim before your question merits a star. Give us the statistics gleaned from Yahoo R&S authorities, please. Tell us how many theists are on here, and how many atheists (discounting duplicate accounts, of course.) Tell us how many of the legitimate accounts are active and how many are dead. Then we can ponder. |
