Security? Or do you believe the rich will pay for this? What happens when the rich move out of the country when we higher taxes, and unionize Corps. Will all the good Doctors move to a Capitalist country? How many more bureaucrats will have their hand in the till before the money actually goes to health care? Why can't we just flood the market with American Doctors, give better deductions, stop Pharmaceutical Lobbying and favors the Doctors, and put a cap on how much people can sue for malpractice?

I bet most doctors are for McCain, I know one doctor that says this plan is horrible! It doesnt work anywhere in the world! Why the heck would it work here! I don't want to wait 5 more hours if we have to go the emergency room! Obama wants to let in illegal immigrants and give them Drivers licenses and health care!!! Thats just DUMB!

McCain wants to limit/ stop stupid lawsuits- he did say that many times. It is RUINING the system! Makes insurance go UP in every direction. Then doctors have to have Malpractice Insurance then raise our BILLS when we go see the doctor. My dad had a MOLE removed- Bill said Surgery on it and was $4,000.00 This scamming NEEDS TO STOPPED!

Add to that the government will change the way we live to prevent disease. They have already begun to work on the fast food industry by keeping them out of certain areas. There will no longer be junk food available in schools and workplaces. There is apt to be a mandatory exercise program in the workplace. Smoking will probably become either illegal or so expensive that only the very rich will be able to afford it. In the words of Obama, health care emphasis will be
on preventing disease rather than treating disease.

Physical education in the public schools will again be part of the curriculum through all 12 years. The students will have to show they can do 50 situps and 20 pullups, etc. It was like ethat when I was in school.

The government will be your life long mama.

You are misinformed! Nobody is talking about socialized medicine!!!!!!!!
We are not adopting the British/Canadian system!!!!!!!
We are talking about affordable, universal health INSURANCE - not free health care.
How much, do you think, does it cost the taxpayer when uninsured people go to the emergency room (cost - $ 3,000 per visit minimum), for an ailment a family practitioner charges health insurances $ 80?

Universal health care means everybody has insurance, everybody picks an insurance carrier and keeps the insurance, even when changing jobs. Have you ever choked on COBRA payments? I have health insurance but had to wait 9 month before the insurance payed for anything I had been diagnosed and treated for during the previous year. A year earlier I was uninsured for 2 month, I couldn't afford $600 a month for my cobra.

Doctors make more money off you when you don't have insurance!!!

I don't understand the young lady who complained that her fathers minor surgery was sooo expensive - with insurance it wouldn't have been - but she doesn't get it. I don't understand why wage earners defend the rich? The rich got incredible tax breaks, to trickle down to us wage earners. Instead, jobs were moved overseas, in total disregard to the well-being of American workers, who lost pensions, income and health insurance. This is insane!
