What are the top 10 issues in our society that bother you the most?
Everyone has that distinct set of issues that they're constantly thinking about regarding society and where we're headed. Can you guys list (in no particular order) those ten things that are constantly on your mind? They don't necessarily have to the be MOST DEVASTATING issues impacting our global society, but just the issues that you think about day in and day out. They can be as specific as you'd like.

Here's my list:

1.) The negative effects of capitalism (greed, overseas exploitation)/ corportization of American culture.. increasing presence of corporations in our everyday lives and cultural participation

2.) Cultural decadence (deterioration of morals, values, youth becoming more immoral)

3.) Irresponsible, sensationalist media (and the nasty effects it has on the people)

4.) Gang violence in Chicago (and the downfall of the black community)/ Commercial rap music (and it's poisonous effects on the minds of young people - particularly black youth)

5.) Racism (and the way it benefits few, but cripples many)/ White privilege in the U.S.

6.) Reality TV and the way it's diminishing our culture

7.) Widening wealth gap, shrinking middle class

8.) Infant politicians (political corruptness, and a pointless, ineffective congress who gets nothing done)/ engineered political polarization

9.) Money in politics (and the way it breaks out democratic system)

10.) Social media, technology and the way it's disconnecting humanity

I'm really interested in your lists.
Blake, they do. But if you read my question, I state that the issues don't have to be the most devastating, just the ones that are constantly on your mind.
Some Machine Guy, just because I use Yahoo!Answers doesn't mean that I don't acknowledge the fact that our ever increasing dependence on social media is disconnecting us from one another. I fail to see your point.

So war and hunger don't figure in there for you?

Or is this specifically an American perspective on issues?

"Social media, technology and the way it's disconnecting humanity"
Yeah but then you wouldn't have a platform for these rants of yours.

1. The fact that abortion is a political issue.
2. Our national debt, it's spinning out of control.
3. Gun violence, especially since no one enforces our current gun laws.
4. Partisanship causing gridlock in congress.
5. The current climate of Islamophobia caused by the Boston Marathon Bombings.
6. People's ignorance when it comes to Islam (see number 5).
7. Entitled white people who think that they should get a Lamborghini just because they want one.
8. The idea that the aforementioned bombers received welfare money (though nothing can be done about that, since we can't predict who will commit terrorism).
9. Tea Partiers. You always think they've said or done the dumbest thing possible, and they always somehow manage to top themselves.
10. People who opposed to gay marriage. Get with the times, people. This isn't the new testament, you know.

Your list is quite impressive. This is mine from my point of view.

1) Child abuse and neglect seems to be increasing and yet the government is cutting back on the preventive programs and government agencies who work at decreasing this problem.

2) The negative effects of capitalism. The jobs have left the USA and we seem to be paying more for cheaply made products as well as food not grown in this country .

3) The number of people living in poverty continues to grow and children going to bed hungry when we pay farmers subsidies for not growing food. The middle class is shrinking because of the lack of jobs and too much Game playing in congress.

4) The Wall street bankers who ripped people off during the Bush deregulation and getting away with doing it.

5) The cost of going to college in the USA is five times what it is in Canada and other countries.

6) The Iraq war based on lies devastated our country and those responsible for starting the war based on their lies were never brought to justice. As well as the fact that we still have troops in Afghanistan. As a result people are losing faith in our government. leaders ever working together and doing what is right for the country as a whole.

7) The crooked back room dealing and cronyism. They take money from the capitalists and pass bills which benefit the capitalist agenda to the detriment to the American people.

8) The perks the government leaders get after they pass laws that make it legal for them to financially benefit from such as using insider trader information to get rich off the stock market and get thousands of dollars from farm subsidies. They also buy up the land they know the government plans to built a super highway or a university on. They have immunity from going to jail for DUI, paying child support or theft.

9) Not repairing, or building new infrastructures in this country. Yet, we rebuilt roads, hospitals and schools in Iraq and give billions to other countries to rebuild their country.

10) The government not voting on the automatic weapons bill which would make it harder for mentally ill, and criminally insane, individuals to obtain guns. We really need background checks.
