I don't get it????????????
This senior guy in high school that goes to my church followed me on twitter and he has been replying to some of my tweets. Then, he saw me once at church again, and when I got home he asked me for my number, so I gave it to him and we started texting each other. He was flirting with me a lot and he practically texted all day. He said I was very attractive, one of the most prettiest and good looking girls at church , and he said he loved my eyes, hair, smile, everything haha.. He always complemented me and said I was really pretty; he was so sweet lol. Anyway, we got to know each other more, and he always sent me good morning texts which I really liked lol. But by the way, when we first started talking, I told him I was a freshman, and he thought I was a junior.. Anyway, we were still talking for days and he wanted to see me at church one Sunday, and he said that he dressed up all nice for me, which I thought was so sweet lol. On to the point; so obviously this guy was really interested in me, and I think he was thinking about going out with me. We kept talking and talking for weeks and it was a pretty good flirty friendship between me and him. So, I guess I started to like him, and obviously he liked me. However, when I saw him for the first time after we talked for a while (we didn't see each other in like 2 weeks) we had a good convo, but when I got home, I texted him.. But he didn't answer.. So I continued to send him text messages (they were not desperate text messages) he still didn't answer.. I kept doing this for a few days until I gave up .. After a week I asked him if he got sick of me or something , and he answered me and said "you're just too young." And I was like "then why all the flirting and talking to me all the time?" And he replied by saying, "I didn't know you were a freshman.. It wouldn't work out anyway cause I'm going off to college." But that's weird because I thought I told him I was a freshman when we first started talking. I'm so confused.

He didn't think the age difference was a big deal at first, but when he told his friends and family about you they probably gave him a hard time for being attracted to a child and convinced him to leave you alone.

Take it as a compliment and move on to someone closer to your own age who likes your personality and interests, not just your appearance.

This is one of the reasons why not to get involved with guys that are three years older than you were. First of all, it's illegal for him to become involved with anyone under 16, and if you are a freshman, chances are, you're too young. Also, if you are under 16 *and* he's more than 3 years older, he could get in *lots* of trouble with the law (you're talking prison).

You texted and texted. You say it wasn't desperate, but it was. Anyone can flirt; they don't have to do anything about it. You're still too young to know what flirting can become and, if you aren't, you're engaging in illegal activity.

He's too old for you. He's made that clear. He didn't answer your texts. He's made his intentions known.

Move on.
