Why is my friend so secretive? Is it because she can't trust me?

Why is my friend so secretive? Is it because she can't trust me?
One of my closest friends has created a secret twitter account where she basically rants about things she's unhappy about. I found out about it while surfing her phone and going on her twitter app where it was logged on. I asked what the account was and then she denied it even existed in front of everyone. She didn't mention the account to me or any of our other friends beforehand and I'm worried that she didn't reveal it because she feels that she can't trust me or others in our friendship circle. The tweets are very ambiguous and I'm worried that she's in a bad place. Should I confront her about it again?

Well, perhaps she just wants a bit of privacy. I know I had a secret tumblr/twitter for a long time and it was really nice to just let things out (even though I knew I could trust my closest friend) but when she found it, it lost all it's purpose, really. I felt awkward going on it just because she knew it was me and so I ended up deleting it and creating another one later on. All in all, just some space, man. It doesn't mean she doesn't trust you or anything; let it be (unless you think she's about to do something (like commit suicide) then, by all means, tell someone/confront her).

I understand you are worried, but I don't think you need to ask her about it. Maybe she just wants to be secretive and not have anybody in her business. If anything, let her come to you when she is ready. But I wouldn't say anything right now.
