What do I do with my sister?
Me and my sister live in the same house and she is very stuck up and only talks to me the most when she wants something from me. I do a lot for her and I am always helping her out and giving her money. We go days without even saying a word to each other and our rooms are right next to each other. I try to talk to her but she acts like she doesn't want to talk at all and that her friends are more important to her (she's on facebook and twitter a lot). Some days we talk but only say a few words and other days we go days without even talking to each other. Should I just ignore her and stop trying to talk to her? What would you do if this was your sister? She's 24.

Ignore her. Enjoy the company of your own friends and other members of your family. Also, stop enabling her and feeling used afterwards. Save your money. If she needs help, she can ask someone else.

Perhaps you should confront her and demand an answer for her treatment of you. She may have a good reason for that, but in order to find out, you must talk to her. If she refused communication or didn't have a good explanation for her behaviour, then there is nothing you can do. Not every family can get along, sad but true.

Try talking on topics she has knowledge of or the topics she is curious or likes to talk, ask her to help you sometimes or for a walk together, make it a habit and don't expect an immediate change. If she has a different nature, it would take time to change. Any person would generally talk when he/she needs/wants something from you, note it when she is willing to talk or need something, keep your conversation positive, ignore her when she is busy elsewhere or you got work. Keep trying.
