Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini data usage question!!?

Yesterday I upgraded my contract from a blackberry to the Samsung s3 mini with 500mb Internet data. I used to have 250mb on my blackberry and never went over it even when I was constantly on the browser and twitter (and other social networks). Now, in just ONE day my data usage on the Samsung says its used up 52mb already and all I've done is check twitter a few times and checked out the browser!

Where's all this data being used up from? I've only had this phone since yesterday so please help me out, thanks.

Go to settings. Data usage. There you will see what is using the most data but out of the box most data is used by updating outdated apps like the play store or browser
