Well , you could just delete all of your cookies so you wont get those facebook commercials anymore. Facebook is being portrait as a must nowadays but if you delete your cookies and dont search for facebook in google anymore they should stop

I don't know what you would do about this but it is a scam as you do not need to give your mobile number to join facebook, not everyone has a mobile and I do not have a facebook account and would ignore any adverts to join them. If it keeps asking for a mobile number give them 00000 etc.

Any advertisement legitimately through Facebook will not request your mobile number. This is most likely a scam, however, I'm not sure there is any legal action you may take over the matter. If you do believe calling the police is the best option, please lookup a non-emergency line for your area and do not dial "911."

If these advertisements bother you, there are add-ons for most web browsers of which can efficiently block ads at the source so they simply do not appear on your device.

If you're using Safari, I would reccomend AdBlock

For Internet Explorer, Simple AdBlocker

For Mozilla Firefox, AdBlock Plus

For Google Chrome, AdBlock

It's a scam. You don't need a mobile number to sign up on Facebook.

The police can't do anything about it, though.
