in your fb account there will be a chat option.you can click it and find in your friends who are in online and offline.with that you can chat.

To send a private message:
Click Messages on the left side of your homepage
Click New Message
Start typing a name or email address into the To field
Names of friends and other people you know will appear in a dropdown
Select the person or people you want to message
Type your message and click Send
