I need help understanding how a page admins role works.?

Ok i need help understanding how Facebook pages and admins work. Lets say Im a new admin on a page. When I post on thr page does it show as the page posting? Like im on the page, im an admin, so when I press update status on the page it shows as me posting as the page right? Please help me understand this.

If you are on your main account then their should be a button at the top telling you who you are posting as.
However if you click on the gear icon near your name, next to where it says home, and select the page name you will post as the page.
