On Twitter, her name is out-trending the phrase "Senator Ted Kennedy," an indication that more people are tweeting her name than his.

Also the search term "mary jo kopechne" was the top item on Google Trends just after 1 p.m. today, a metric for Web searches that are the fastest rising. The search engine has given the search term a ranking of "on fire."

Ted Kennedy did not "murder" Mary Jo Kopechne anymore than Laura Bush "murdered" the man she killed.
