My facebook chat doesn't work?

My facebook chat doesn't work?
I see the people that are online, but when I click on a name it doesn't open the chat window for them. Does anyone know why that is and how can I make it work?

It is likely that you've managed to deactivate some plugin or something similar in your browser that is vital to the chat function. I'm guessing JavaScript, or perhaps popups. Change browsers, for instance to Mozilla Firefox if you're currently not using Firefox, then see whether it works there. If it does, you know it's the browser that is at fault.
