How would you go about answering this marketing question?

"Express in 500 words the possible steps that you can take to launch online a book by a new and unknown author" - Should I write only about how I would market it online e.g social networking sites and online promotions or involve most of the 7ps? I am confused

I would just state how it would be marketed.

As an internet marketer, I would say that, when launching an online books, efforts should be placed on:
-social media
-social networking sites
-press releases
-submissions via amazon and barnes & noble online bookstores
-reach out to review websites and ask for reviews
-purchase some ads on relevant websites (media buying)
-build backlinks to your sales page on relevant blogs, forums, etc.

Those are the main methods to launch an online book. Having some sort of list is advantageous (maybe look into solo ads or a joint venture with someone who already has a targeted mailing list in your book`s niche), but you can do well marketing it with just these methods.

Not quite sure if this is what you`re looking for, but if i were to market a book online, I`d include these in my marketing mix.
