About Facebook messenger and iPhone notification center?

When reading a Facebook message through iPhones Notifications while on lockscreen or notification center.. will the senders message show as "seen" on his or hers facebook messenger?

I sometimes don't have time to reply right away and don't want the other friend thinking I'm ignoring thier message... that's why I wanted to ask the yahoo community.

If you seen other's messages as 'seen', that means other people can see their messages as seen.
