Or do you have to be a mutual friend with that person for it to go in their inbox? How does it work?

Yes they receive the message and they read it from their inbox.

It will go to the Other box. They would only see it if they happen to check it. They wouldn't get any notification of it.

Hello

They will receive it. If you have more then 25 friends in common it will go into there normal inbox. However if you don't know them it will go into there "others" folder which they won't see unless they access there messages from a PC, as the others folder doesn't show up on an app etc.

My advice would be to tell someone you know who is friends with them and see if they can ask the person you mailed if they got your mail if not to check there others folder.

Hope this helps

No, it will go into their "other" folder. Only people you are friends with the messages go to their "inbox", non friends goes into "other". They will get receive the message that you send.

It goes in the inbox, but it's in the "Other" section. It also won't come as a notification. You have to check those yourself.
