On facebook - can you stop the "people you may know" thing or block ii

my fb just fills up with - people I dont know and its annoying

No, its one of the features on facebook that can't be turned off.

Sorry but no, unfortunately it's a feature by Facebook. Usually I right click on the "x' to remove them, I don't see the same people showing up all the time.
