What does the 'favorite' on chat on Facebook mean?
Also if they're not online or doesn't have a iPhone symbol but is still shown up there?

Those in the "favorite" section usually mean that those are the people you interact with most online. Whether it be through a group chat, personal chat, or writing on their walls, it's the people you talk to the most and stuff. Hope I helped. :3
