how to prevent someone from stalking me in facebook?

there is a guy in my friends list on facebook that stalks everything i do, and that is so annoying, i cannot unfriend him because of some stupid reasons (family wise :/) can u help me get rid of his stalking please?
josh: if i block him, would he know it? i want him to think that i am not active, i don't want him to know that he is blocked or sth

Go to his profile and click the gear shaped icon next to "call" and then click "report/block" and then click "Block -persons name" and there you go he can't contact or see your posts/pictures. He won't find out and if he does then theres not much you can do since you can't delete him.
