what does it mean when someone added you (on facebook)?

they requested to be a friend with you so they can see you profile and you can see theirs.

It means that when someone sends a friend request to someone and they accept it, it says "John" added you as a friend. You can see one another's profile and activity etc.,

it generally means they want to add your photos to their wank bank and send you illicit and compromising inbox messages ohh not to mention they can now 'poke' you haha.. isn't that why fb was invented? Or am I just using it wrong....
