Time stamp on facebook?

Sometimes I notice that after my boyfriend says goodnight to me and that he is going to sleep, I notice that he is online on facebook awhile after he "goes to bed." So I told him that I noticed he does that and ever since then I can't see a time stamp next to his mobile icon on chat. Is it possible that he disabled it somehow?

Yes he can make it possible that only some people can see if he is online
