how to market my website?

hi! I really need help to attract visitors/buyers to my site but I really do not know how to begin marketing my site. I already have a blog, I registered on a forum community but I do not know how to begin. I also registered at twitter, I created a page in facebook. I may need a step-by-step procedure to follow. or maybe this is really not my venture. I do not know what to do anymore. I am little dumb about the technology trend now. about rss, press release, online forums, blogs to follow and lot more

In order to have a popular blog/website, you need to provide an experience that people can't get elsewhere. For example, this website(Yahoo) provides mail, answers, and a whole lot of other services. That's why it's so popular. However, you can't do the same thing since so many companies already do it and they're humongous corporations. There's no way for you to increase your website ranking unless your popular. I guess you could cheat and just stick links to other websites like yours on a hidden page(google algorithim factors in links to other sites with related content). Other than that there isn't much you can do besides try to get some advertisements and get your friends to spread the word around.

I have a website too, I have heard a lot of things about marketing technology ,something about seo,smo,ads tracking,website analytics,it's very boring to me.

so ,I just do what i am good at.I like writing,I writed a lot of bloggers on my website ,it get me a lot of traffic,and get some adsense Incomes.
