Facebook says I'm online when I'm not?

I just figured out even after I log out of everything on Facebook, it says that I'm online. And it really pisses me off because I don't want people messaging me all the time and thinking I have nothing better to do. I'm really angry and want to know how to fix it! I have a smartphone, ipod touch and a laptop. How do I fix this. It says I'm ALWAYS online. I'm angry. Please help

This happens to me too. A lot of my friends have said I'm online all the time when I'm not at all. It's so weird, I think it has something to do with the facebook app on my phone, since I never log out of facebook on my phone then I think that's why it says I'm always online. But I'm not really sure though. Better check with someone else who answers but I hope I helped a little.

just temporarily deactivate your facebook account and again activate your account it works i have tried it myself.

Well first of all, obviously, check to see if you're logged into Facebook on any of those devices by finding some sort of logout button on that app.

Secondly, you may be logged in on another computer or someone elses device. There is a way to logout on all devices on facebook, you can probably find it in account options, or something of the sort.

It maybe because you are still signed in on a mobile device which would be your laptop and smart phone. Make sure that you log out of those places as well. If that doesn't work you could always keep yourself signed in but 'appear offline' so know one can message you and they will see that your not online.
