No,problem is not with your browsers,it's a virus,I don't know exactly what virus you got,but I had a same problem, also my friend.I had an virus named ''KoobFace'' i'ts a malware, which first in beginning makes your computer and browser slower, and later it expands more and more and access to your facebook or any social network where you have account, and writes and sends offensive messages to all of your friends, with infected links.

If that countine,I really suggest you to reinstall your OS,that's the only salvation.

Its your internet and facebook account is your problem.
You have a slow internet because facebook keeps updating which can be a result of stopped responding.

TIPS: Upgrade Wifi.
Upgrade your Web browsers
Check for viruses that makes it slowing down your PC
