If the Internet/Social Media had existed in the 80s, what wrestlers besides Hogan would be the most popular?

Randy Savage - for his charisma and all around talent
Roddy Piper- for his mic skills Mr Perfect- for his technical wrestling ability Ricky Steamboat - for his great in ring ability Dynamite Kid- for his technical wrestling skills British Bulldog - powerhouse that had the look and potential Bret Hart- young and upcoming superstar Superstar Jimmy Graham - for his look and unique style Shawn Michaels- young and upcoming superstar i think guys like Hogan, Warrior, Andre and Slaughter would be put down alot by the fans because they all had their flaws |

Wow, nobody mentioned non-WWF wrestlers.
The 80's saw a completely different wrestling business. Fans today think the WWF has always been the only (or at least the biggest) promotion. They also think only the WWF wrestlers were popular and famous. That's not even close to the way it was then. There are lots of non-WWF wrestlers who would have been subjects of "internet/social media". Here are some of them: Ric Flair Dusty Rhodes The Four Horsemen Magnum T.A. The Von Erich Brothers The Rock & Roll Express The Midnight Express The Freebirds Jerry Lawler Bill Dundee Jimmy Valiant Tommy Rich Terry Funk Nikita Koloff Eddie Gilbert |
