Maybe you put the wrong email in Facebook. I say this because emails that Facebook sends with confirmation codes are almost instantaneous.

Sometimes things like that go into the the junk/spam folder so check in there and see.

If that's the case then mark it as safe for future reference & also add it to your contacts list
