how to add GIFS images to your facebook?

hi my little brother randomly looking at peoples profile in facebook and found this profile

we dont know this person or either we are not advertizing or anything like that i only wanted to ask why this profile have moving profile cover and moving post of image as GIFS i though facebook updated something new so i got too exited cause yeah i always wanted to put GIFS in my profile and when i did lol i get nothing GIFS turn into JPG or image not moving at all -_-' how did this person did this anyway ?

If the GIF you want to upload is not a moving picture, it should work just fine. If you have a GIF image that is a nonmoving image, you should have no problem uploading it to Facebook. Otherwise....
There are at least two ways of doing it. You can always use a third party app on Facebook - you could try Animated Picture.
The second trick is Post a link to the GIF. Unfortunately, just the still image will show up, but you can describe it.
Interestingly enough, according to the Facebook Developers page, GIFs are one of many file types allowed for uploading to the platform.
