Emiocast -- a social media analysis firm from Paris, France -- published a study in July, 2012 saying Twitter has more than 500 million users. The study found the U.S. as the most Twitter-populated country, with just over 140 million U.S.-based Twitter accounts. Semiocast's data also indicates that of that 500 million, only about 170 million of which are accounts from active users. For the sake of the study, an "active user" is anybody who updated their Twitter or posted a Tweet during the three-month testing period. Despite the U.S. having the most registered Twitter accounts, the Netherlands actually has the largest group of active users, with 33-percent of registered Netherlands users actively using the site. Japan and Spain take the second and third spots, while the U.S. struggles to keep up in fourth place, with only 28-percent.

Facebook Users
In an October 2012 post on Facebook's news room, site founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg reveals "there are more than one billion people using Facebook actively each month." Data published by the social networking behemoth reveals that there were 189 million active users in the United States and Canada as of September 2012. The number of active users in the U.S. and Canada exceeds Twitter's worldwide 170 million active users. While the statistics were gathered months apart, any additional monthly users Twitter gained during the period likely still don't come close to Facebook's numbers.

So According To me Facebook is More popular NOWADAYS !

And Whatsapp Is Just a App , it cant Come Close to Facebook and Twitter .

Though Twitter, facebook and whatsapp are social networking site or provider, these sites are different from each other and have their some unique facilities and specialties. Twitter is a not for sharing everything..high privacy restriction is there..here, you can follow your friends and see your friends posts.
But in facebook, here , you may be have other advantages. And whatsapp is a app. through this, you are able to connect anytime with your friends. Whatsapp access your phone contacts list and detect friends phone number those who are already in whatsapp. In whatsapp for the 1st one year is free. but later on ₹55 will be paid for every year.
