It won't be like that as your thinking. Actually you will have to delete request or either you will have to accept them.

it has nothing to do with how many friend requests you have - anytime someone sends you a friends request, they are already subscribed to your public updates

but after you get 5000 friends, no one can send you friend requests anymore
