You are from your parents! your parents keep the password for your safety! not for spying on you!

suppose if you got a problem, or in a bad situation, you may lose your entire life! facebook is addictive! In internet, nobody control a person whom intend to hurt somebody.

so, for a precaution, let them keep your password. AGAIN, It is ONLY FOR YOUR SAFETY! feel them as a bodyguards, life-jacket, helmet.

You could say change your password, and then tell your parents that you were hacked?

Alternatively, you could create another Facebook account and not tell your parents about it, then block them on that Facebook, if they do have Facebook themselves? Make sure people you tell about your new Facebook/add on your new Facebook won't tell your parents about it.

Well if you know it you can just change it in FB. But as you could be a minor im not sure thats such a good idea as they wouldn't have taken it without a good reason.
