How do I explain social media sites to my wife.?
I work for a social media company, and my wife thinks all social media sites (Twitter, Facebook) are basically an extension of "e harmony" or "plenty of fish" and that all they are for is to hook up with people and find a way to cheat on her.

How do I explain social to her in way that she would understand?

It doesn't help that she is completely computer illiterate, and hates everything to do with the internet/computers.

It can't be denied that people DO use those sites to look for potential dates, but that really shouldn't be a deal-breaker. Maybe a look at your friend list would help. If she sees all your family members and friends who she's met before that should help. But if she sees a ton of 18-22 year old girls posing like they're in playboy, that would be suspicious.

She is completely computer illiterate!!! You can't explain anything to Her!!! Tell her that she should be happy you have a job!!!

Also, million of people end up cheating with someone they work with!!! Should you not work anymore because working is a way to hook up with someone????

Your wife is insecure!!

you could also tell her that the social networking sites are like the streets of new york... or a coffee shop in new york ... if you don't live in new york but need to have contacts there is it convenient to have a networking site to do business or what ever it is that you are doing, to complete this.
