Facebook has locked me out of my account...?

Okay, here's what has happened -

Logged into facebook yesterday and received the message: "Someone May Have Accessed Your Account. To secure your account, you'll need to answer a few questions and change your password. For your protection, no one can see you on Facebook until you finish."

I then clicked continue and was faced with two options: upload photo ID (passport, etc), or log in from a list devices I have previously used. The latter isn't an option as the only devices on the list are a computer I no longer own and "unknown". So I uploaded my passport, but got no response. Uploaded it a second time, ignored again.

Then I logged in today and there was a new recovery option where I am shown photos of people on my friends list and have to name them. I completed this but they said I took too long.

I just want my account back. I think I've given them enough "proof" by sending them my passport, but apparently they want to carry on playing stupid games with me. I feel they are violating my rights, as this is my account, my intellectual property. I only want it back so I can deactivate it, won't be using facebook again~!

What can I do? I'm aware that there is no way of directly contacting Facebook (you'd think that some form of contact is a basic necessity of a social network, obviously not!) so what can I do?

Happened to me too. Guess the best way is to identify pictures as fast as possible because if we take too long, our answer gets rejected. Sadly thats the only option to get back your account.
