My friend made a separate Facebook account for her baby and friend requested everyone with it. WTF?
My friend had a baby about six months ago, and made a separate Facebook account in her baby's name. She then friend requested all her friends, family, and anyone close to her with the baby's FB. She uses it to upload pictures of the baby, and posts status updates in the first person from the baby's account. For example: "Today I rolled over for the first time!" Followed by a photo.

To me, making a FB account in your baby's name and posting personal pictures of the baby on it, seems like a huge security risk to me. I asked my friend what would happen when the baby grows up, and she said "If FB still exists when she is of age, I will give her control of the FB. All her stuff will be documented and she can say she's had a FB since the day she was born!" I was a bit appalled by her answer. I can't imagine my parents doing that to me, especially when I'm too young to give permission.

I wanted to ask, what do you all think of what my friend is doing? We all think its wrong. I know it's her child and she can do what she wants, but still. Would you do this with your children? Most parents don't want their kids to have a FB, but she is encouraging it!

I don't agree with her doing that, it's very weird and wrong of her to do that.
