I'm friends with this guy on Facebook, but I wish I wasn't...?
Okay, I'm friends with this guy who I met once in real life. It was work connected, and I try to make friends with all my co-workers so as to try and be nice to them all and have an amicable working relationship. This guy since moved away, and now he's messaging me saying he realty liked me - nothing inappropriate but it makes me feel uncomfortable and I'd really like him to stop. Other than blocking/unfriending, which is gonna seem really unfriendly and might hurt his feelings, what do I do? Thanks in advance.

If you feel uncomfortable about him, just delete or block him.

Someone's going to get 'hurt' and it's either you or him. You can tell him in all honesty what bugs you, which may be a little harsh as well. That, or you'd have to simply take the hit, for who knows how long..

Good luck!

Tell him nicely that what he says makes you uncomfortable. Yeah he's gonna be a little hurt but he'll get over it. If he doesn't stop then block him.

Other than that you could do a message with the whole "i like you but I just want to be friends" and endorse it a bit more if you want by saying things like " i have had some bad experiences in the past" the reason I worded it like that is every one has had bad experiences so its actually not lying.

Then he will think to himself oh its her not me, instead of "oh why doesn't she like me" and then Egos stay in tact and no ones feeling is hurt. And you don't feel guilty because you never lied. Do it in a private message.
