When you set a custom privacy setting for your facebook status...?
When you are posting a status and you only want a certain person to see that status, so you choose "Custom" in privacy and pick "only ____ can view this" can that person see that you made it so only they can see the post or will they never know it was private? jw, thanks!

They will know if it's a private post by looking in the icon beside the time stamp. If they hover their mouse cursor in the icon, they will see to whom you shared the post.
Also, if a post is public, normally you'll see a globe icon beside the timestamp. If it is a private post, you'll see a gear icon instead which your friends (those you've tagged) can see as well. Ads |
