On Facebook, how do i make it so I am unsearchable on Facebook?

I only want to converse with friends and people I add myself but I dont want other people to search for me and find me, is this possible?

Click the * button (top-right) - privacy settings & Tools - 'who can look me up?' (change from 'everyone' to whatever else).

You used to be able to make yourself unsearchable on Facebook, but that has been changed. Now your profile is public. You cannot hide your current profile picture or cover image.
You can however change who sees your posts (set them to Friends for example) but if you comment on public posts that can also be seen by anyone.

If you go to privacy settings and tools you can prevent people from finding you faster by searching for your email address or phone number. But you are still searchable both on Facebook and from search engines such as Google.
