How do you send a message on twitter? To someone famous? Also what is the point of hash tags?

Just click on their profile and you can send them a tweet. Hashtags let you see what other people are saying on the same topic.

to send a message to them you just put there username in the tweet. and hashtags are so when people look up the hashtag, they will find all of the tweets that have that hashtag. you would use it to get retweets and favourites.
