Do people who are looking to hire you also look into Twitter accounts?

I know people who are hiring always say, be careful what you post on facebook because we are all watching. I have been told this before at job interviews. I don't post anything on facebook, however I do post on Twitter. None of my posts have really ever been offensive, but I was just wondering if they check there yet?

Yes, they will check the majority of, if not every social networking site.
