How to get the mobile phone icon next to your name in facebook chat when you are offline?

A mobile phone icon next to your name on facebook chat; appears when you activate your mobile phone.

I activated my mobile. Confirmed it on facebook but I don't have that icon when i'm offline. What may be the problem?

May be that icon is only appear when you are online from your smartphone

this icon is always shown when u r using facebook messenger..and facebook messenger always installed in smartphones like android 2.2 or older, windows phone and iphone..u cant use messenger on simple phones like nokia symbian or any other..use nimbuzz for been online 24/7..

For the Icon to appear, You have to sign in Facebook application or messenger application from your mobile several time until Facebook recognizes you are also a Facebook mobile user. Just activating Facebook mobile by your mobile number doesn't serve that. try logging in to Facebook mobile app as well as messenger app from your mobile.
