I just received a weird message?

I just received a message on facebook.com saying I won the lottery 6/49, from the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.

I tried contacting the e-mail they had sent me, but it failed to send.

Is this a joke ? Or is it for real ?

Fake, as long as you didn't enter anything recently. It's mostly likely a scam, block the user.

It's most likely a joke. If you actually did win the lottery, I don't think that someone would contact you on Facebook and tell you.

It is a scam and your computer is probably infected with malware.

Next you need to do scans of your computer with your Antivirus and Antispyware programs. You can do this in the Normal Mode and they may find something. Be aware that some malware can remain dormant for some time before becoming active. Be sure you antivirus and antispyware does daily 'Quick Scan' and do a 'Full Scan' with each at least once a week.
