Can my friends see when I comment on a friends picture or status?

My friends aren't friends with her and I don't want them to see my comments because were pretty immature and people take it the wrong way, or do they have to be friends with her as well?

If they use a laptop or something they can on the side of the screen. If on a phone or something they can't see what you write unless they comment meaning that they'd get notifications

Yes they can see if they know your facebook acount name or ID... It would be better to you to hide your timeline from public. If you hide it they cannot see your comments if they are not your friends...

yes, all if your activity is shared with your friends on facebook - that's the whole point in facebook

and the only way to hide it from certain people is to add them to your restricted list
