Can you message someonw on facebook if your not friends?

Me and my friend (ex girlfriend) was hangin out at my house and she got mad at me because I got jealous because she was talkin to another boy and it p*ssed me off...so we got into it a little bit and I blocked her from my Facebook thinkin that she would text me and talk to me but after like 3 hours I calmed down and I started to miss her...so I unblocked her and I sent her another friend request but its not accepted yet...so I sent her a long message about how I was sorry and everything and I was wondering if people your not friends with can accept your messages???..thanks..(BTW,,this all happened today)...and we always end up becoming friends again after we argue..lol...I just always freak out when she gets mad at me...haha...thanks...and also,,the reason I get jealous IS because I'm still inlove with her...and her dad borrowed her phone,,that's why I couldn't text her...

Yes you Can Still Message but They Wont Get a Notifcation tho It Will get Sent to the Other Folder So The Only Way They Would See it is If they Go to there inbox and Look at the Other Folder
